Clients often say the same thing afterwards: “I feel so much better.”

What I Offer

HOME & WARDROBE RESET

An in-person reset: Edit → Structure → Style.
We remove what no longer serves, rebuild simple systems, and restyle thoughtfully so your space feels calm, clear and easier to live with.

Step 1: Edit decisively
We work through your space systematically, removing what no longer serves you.

  • Keep — you use it, love it, or genuinely need it

  • Release — it no longer fits your life, space or needs

  • Rehome — where possible, items can be donated or passed on thoughtfully

Clarity begins with decisions.

Step 2: Rebuild structure. Once the excess has gone, we create straightforward systems that make daily life easier.

We look at what needs to live where, what you need access to most often, and how the space can function more smoothly for the way you live now.

Clear structure reduces friction, decision fatigue and visual noise.

Step 3: Restyle thoughtfully
We work with what you already own and love.

Where helpful, I may suggest a few considered additions — always practical, never excessive. The goal is not to buy more, but to help the space feel intentional, settled and easy to maintain.

Reuse first. Add only with intention.

This is not about creating a flawless home or wardrobe. It’s about creating spaces that feel calm, clear, manageable and aligned with your life now.

Closet with clothing on hangers, shoes on shelves, and a leopard print bench on a leopard print carpet.
Modern kitchen with white countertops, dark blue cabinets, a center island with flower arrangement, open shelving with pots, framed artwork, and appliances including a stainless steel fridge and microwave.

£100/hour (no VAT).
Most resets are completed within a structured half or full-day session. Additional sessions can be scheduled if needed.

Who I Help

I work with busy, capable women who feel quietly overwhelmed by their wardrobes or homes.

Women who:

  • Don’t lack ability — just time and headspace.

  • Are navigating life transitions (downsizing, retirement, relocation, loss).

  • Feel their space no longer reflects who they are now.

  • Want practical support & a clear structure — not judgement.

They’re not looking for perfection — they want their home to feel lighter to live in.

Whether it’s editing your wardrobe into something that genuinely works for your life, resetting everyday spaces in your home, or staging a property with clarity and restraint, the goal is the same:

Clarity. Structure. Ease.

There is no embarrassment here.
We simply edit and reset — thoughtfully.

The next step is a complimentary clarity call.

Who I Am

Hello, I’m Alexa — founder of The Edit & Reset.

For over 25 years, I produced creative campaigns for fashion and homeware brands, both in-house and agency-side. That work required clarity, organisation, and the ability to bring structure to complex projects.

A life transition led me to apply those same skills somewhere more personal: people’s homes.

Over the past three years, I’ve worked with women navigating significant change — from downsizing after loss, to redefining their wardrobes, to preparing properties for new beginnings.

Thoughtful editing and restyling don’t just change a space. They change how you feel within it.

Our own home reflects that philosophy. What began as a tight-budget renovation evolved into a multi-functional, intentional space — including a self-contained holiday let, an artists’ studio hosting workshops, and a location used for photography and film. It has also been featured by Wealden Times.

But the heart of my work remains simple:

I create structured, practical resets that remove what no longer serves you and rebuild calm, intentional order.

Warm. Considered. Decisive.

Because your home should support the life you’re living now — not weigh it down.

Testimonials

“I was so overwhelmed about where to start after a major life transition. Alexa suggested we go through one room at a time - she made it easy to make decisions, we went at my pace. As a recent widow, it was all so overwhelming alongside my grieving. There was no judgment whatsoever, just utter sensitivity paired with practicality. What a relief mentally and physically!"

— Anna, Home | Downsizing Home Edit

“Alexa has brought clarity to my life! She edited out the pieces I just don't wear anymore, cleared out pieces for charity and Vinted, then put my life back into order."

— Antonia, Wardrobe Edit

"After losing my husband, the loft had become too overwhelming to face. Years of memories mixed with everyday storage - I couldn’t bring myself to go up there alone. We went through everything together at my pace, kept what mattered, & organised the rest by category. I now have breathing room and know exactly what’s there. I thank Alexa for making this daunting job easy, I cannot recommend her enough.”

— Jane, Home | Loft Edit

“After years of feeling overwhelmed by the chaos of clothes in my wardrobe, Alexa really took the time to understand my lifestyle and preferences. Everything now works together, getting dressed is effortless, and I'm finally out of the 'wearing the same old thing' rut. The process was supportive, judgment-free, and genuinely fun. Totally worth it!"

— Thalia, Wardrobe Edit

"After a year of grumbling under my breath about my larder being so crammed I no longer really knew what was in it, I bit the bullet and asked Alexa to help. She immediately took charge and made a very dreary task seem not that bad at all. The time flew by and soon enough I had a tidy, clean, sparkling larder that now gives me an immense amount of pleasure to use again. Alexa is really worth getting hold of if you need your cupboards, wardrobes, or anything that needs decluttering. She'll lighten your load and make you feel a warm sense of satisfaction. She's like a kind of Mary Poppins of the decluttering world. Spit spot!"

— Kate, Kitchen Edit

“With my busy life splitting time between a hectic construction workplace, professional meetings, horse-riding gear, and the occasional disco dress - I'd convinced myself chaos was inevitable. But Alexa showed me otherwise. I now have a clear, practical system. My wardrobe finally reflects my lifestyle rather than overwhelming it!"

The Sunday Supplement - Unique Property Company

You wouldn't leave the house without brushing your hair (well, most of us wouldn't), so why on earth would you put your house on the market without making it look its best? "Styling" has become one of those words people roll their eyes at, as though it automatically means scatter cushions in improbable colours, £400 candles, and a faint air of smugness. In reality, it's none of that. It's just the grown-up acknowledgement that sometimes you need an expert. And when it comes to selling, a bit of expertise can make the difference between your house languishing on Rightmove and somebody falling madly in love with it. Standing back and looking at your home as a stranger would — smells, flow, clutter, quirks you think are "charming" but which may in fact be "deeply off-putting" — is almost impossible.

Sussex-based Alexa Easterby from The Edit & Reset, is particularly brilliant at this. With a background in creative production, she knows exactly how to make people connect emotionally with a house. Her own place — warm, clever, light-filled — is proof. She turned it into not just a home but a self-contained guest apartment and community studio. Stylish and practical: the dream. We worked with Alexa recently at Brasses Farm in East Sussex, a beautiful old house that needed a light touch. Nothing OTT, just subtle tweaks that made its history sing and its contemporary side shine. The result? Viewers could instantly imagine a whole life there, not just a house.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It’s a short, complimentary call to talk through your space, what feels stuck, and what kind of support would help most. If it feels like the right fit, we’ll talk about next steps.

  • We start with a quick walk-through and agree what “done” looks like. Then we edit first (always), create clear structure, and reset the space so it functions for your day-to-day. You’ll finish with a calmer space and a simple system that’s easy to maintain.

  • I’ll help you decide what stays and what goes, and I can recommend local donation, selling and recycling options. However, I don’t take items away or arrange disposal — that part is handled by you (or your chosen service).

(This keeps the process flexible, cost-effective, and in your control.)

  • Yes. This is a big part of what I do. I’ll guide you with calm, practical decision rules — no pressure, no judgement — so you can keep what you love and what supports your life now.

  • Absolutely not.

I prioritise working with what you already own. If a small addition would genuinely improve the system (for example, hangers or simple storage), I’ll suggest thoughtful options — but only if needed.

  • Not necessarily. I always work with what you already have first. Where helpful, I may suggest a few considered additions — always practical, never excessive.

  • No. This is a structured reset. We edit what no longer serves, rebuild simple systems, and create spaces that feel calmer, clearer and easier to live with.

  • It depends on the space and how decisive you feel on the day. As a guide, a focused wardrobe reset is often 3–4 hours, and larger areas in a home can take longer. We’ll agree a realistic plan on the clarity call. We work at a pace that feels supportive, not rushed.

  • For busy women in transition —moving house, widowhood, changing season of life, returning to work, empty nesting, or simply ready for a reset — who want calm, structured support to create a home and wardrobe that feels easy again. This work is for anyone who feels overwhelmed by their space.

  • That’s completely normal. We’ll go gently and at your pace. The goal isn’t to get rid of everything — it’s to keep what matters, reduce overwhelm, and create a respectful “home” for the things you choose to keep.
